Five-year-old Shyam from Ludhiana, Punjab is a cheerful and loving child whose bright smile hides a painful reality.
Behind his innocent laughter lies a battle that no child should ever have to fight — a serious heart condition that has threatened his life since the day he was born.
Shyam was diagnosed with Tricuspid Atresia (Type 1B) — a rare and complex congenital heart defect in which one of the heart’s valves is completely missing. Because of this, his tiny heart cannot pump blood the way it should, leaving his body starved of oxygen.
In 2020, Shyam underwent a major surgery called BD Glenn and Atrial Septectomy, which temporarily helped improve his condition. But this was only a halfway step — not a permanent cure.
Today, Shyam urgently needs a Fontan Surgery, the final and most crucial operation that can stabilize his heart and give him the chance to live a normal childhood. Without it, his oxygen levels — already dangerously low at 75% — will keep dropping, and his condition will worsen with time.
Despite their unwavering strength, Shyam’s parents are heartbroken and helpless. They have already spent all their savings on his previous treatments and hospital visits. With a modest income and rising medical costs, arranging ₹3,86,500 for this life-saving surgery feels impossible for them.
Please come forward to help this brave child by contributing and sharing his story. 🙏
