Abhay Prajapati, a bright and brave 14-year-old boy, should be spending his days studying, playing, and dreaming big. But instead, he’s fighting a life-threatening battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML – Blood Cancer) and Hepatitis C at AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi.
His journey has been heartbreaking. Endless hospital stays, painful chemotherapy sessions, costly antifungal and antiviral medicines, frequent blood and platelet transfusions — this has become Abhay’s new reality. Each day, his frail body fights the exhaustion and pain that no child should ever endure.
Doctors have recommended long-term therapy, but the cost of treatment and supportive care is estimated at ₹15 lakh — an amount far beyond his father’s reach, who works as a daily wage labourer. The family is struggling even for food and shelter in Delhi, yet they refuse to give up hope.

🗓️ Oct 15,2025: Due to his low immunity, Abhay often suffers from fever, infections, and weakness, which require frequent blood and platelet transfusions. His parents remain by his side day and night, doing everything possible to keep him strong and positive.
🗓️ Oct 15,2025: Abhay has completed his 3rd cycle of HIDAC chemotherapy (10–12 Nov). He has been prescribed G-CSF injections for 1 week to help improve his immunity. Doctors have advised close monitoring of his blood reports (CBC, LFT, RFT) and any signs of fever or bleeding. A gastro review for Hepatitis-C has also been scheduled.

🗓️ Aprli 08, 2026: As per the latest update, doctors have planned a PICC line procedure for his ongoing treatment. He remains under close medical supervision, and necessary preparations are being done. 🙏 Please continue to support Abhay.
🗓️ April 14, 2026: Abhay has been advised SDP (platelet transfusion) due to a very low platelet count (around 4,000). He is currently under close medical supervision, and necessary treatment is being provided as per doctors’ advice. 🙏 We request everyone to continue supporting Abhay during this critical phase.
🗓️ April 22, 2026: After evaluation, doctors have discharged him with medicines and follow-up instructions, while continuing close observation for the next stage of treatment. His reports show that he still needs ongoing medical attention, regular tests, and further treatment to improve his health and recovery. The family remains hopeful and is following every medical advice given by the doctors.
🗓️ April 27, 2026: Recent evaluations indicate that further tests and treatment planning are underway to guide the next steps in his recovery.
Abhay continues to receive supportive medicines and regular medical care while his health parameters are being stabilized. The doctors are carefully reviewing his progress before proceeding with the upcoming phase of treatment.
🗓️ May 04, 2026: As per the latest medical documents, doctors are continuing with his treatment plan and closely monitoring his progress.
Recent evaluations and tests have been conducted, and further procedures such as biopsy and assessments have been advised to better understand his current condition and decide the next course of treatment. His medical team is carefully reviewing all reports to ensure the most effective treatment approach.
At present, Abhay is stable and receiving necessary medications and care as prescribed by the doctors. The coming days are important as further investigations and treatment steps will guide his recovery journey.
