Baby Jiyansh, a 3-year-old child from Bhiwani, Haryana, is currently battling a serious congenital heart condition and urgently needs life-saving heart surgery. He belongs to a financially struggling family where his father works as a daily wage labourer in a cement factory, while his mother is a housewife.
Jiyansh is the third child of the family. The parents have already suffered an unbearable loss in the past with the death of their second baby boy. After going through such a heartbreaking tragedy, they are now desperately trying to save their son Jiyansh.
Since Jiyansh was only 7–8 days old, he started facing health complications including breathing difficulties, disturbed sleep, weakness, and frequent discomfort. Initially, the family was unaware of the seriousness of his condition and believed it to be common newborn health issues. However, as time passed, his health worsened significantly. He began suffering from repeated fever, cough, cold, chest infections, and breathing distress.
The family consulted nearby hospitals and after multiple investigations, doctors suspected a hole in his heart and advised advanced consultation at a higher medical centre. Further medical evaluations later confirmed that Jiyansh is suffering from a serious congenital heart defect.
According to the medical reports, Jiyansh has been diagnosed with:
• Moderate Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)
• Mild Aortic Regurgitation (AR)
• RCC Prolapse
• Recurrent respiratory infections and breathing complications
Doctors have clearly advised that Jiyansh now requires urgent cardiac surgery to prevent further deterioration in his condition.
Unfortunately, his surgery kept getting delayed repeatedly because Jiyansh has been physically weak since birth. Every time the family prepared for surgery, he would develop fever, cough, infections, or other complications, making surgery unsafe at that time. This cycle continued for years, forcing the family to wait while watching their child suffer.
Recently, Jiyansh’s condition became more serious, and his symptoms started worsening rapidly. Upon recommendation, the family brought him to Sarvodaya Hospital, where doctors re-evaluated his case and urgently advised surgery.
The estimated treatment cost is ₹2,69,300 (Two Lakh Sixty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred Only), which includes hospitalization charges and VSD closure surgery.
For a family surviving on a labour income, arranging such a huge amount is nearly impossible.
Unable to manage the financial burden, Jiyansh’s family approached Jan Sanjeevni Trust with hope for support.
