Eight-year-old Parmila from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, should be spending her days studying, playing with friends, and dreaming about her future. Instead, she is fighting a battle no child should ever have to face.
Parmila has been diagnosed with a complex congenital heart disease (heart defect present since birth). According to her medical reports, she is suffering from Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries (CCTGA) along with large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), severe pulmonary stenosis, and other associated cardiac abnormalities. Due to these serious heart defects, her body struggles to receive adequate oxygen, causing shortness of breath, low oxygen levels, weakness, and difficulty performing everyday activities.
For years, her family watched her health deteriorate, hoping that somehow things would improve. But as Parmila grew older, her condition became more severe. Doctors have now advised an urgent BD Glenn procedure along with PDA ligation and corrective cardiac surgery to improve her chances of survival and give her a healthier future.
Parmila's father is a daily wage labourer and the sole earning member of the family. Despite working tirelessly, his income is barely enough to meet the family's basic needs. The estimated cost of her treatment is approximately ₹3,06,350, an amount far beyond what the family can afford on their own.
Today, Parmila's parents are living with a fear no parent should experience—the fear of losing their child simply because they cannot afford the treatment she desperately needs.
After exhausting every possible option, the family approached Jan Sanjeevni Trust with hope in their hearts and faith in the kindness of strangers.
Your support can help Parmila receive the life-saving treatment she urgently needs. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings her one step closer to a healthier life and gives her family renewed hope for the future.
