Born on 13 September 2014, Lakshita is a young girl from Uttar Pradesh who should be worrying about school, homework, and playing with her younger brother. Instead, her life has become a daily struggle between hospitals, medicines, and fear.
Lakshita comes from a humble family. Her father works as a housekeeper in a private company, earning only ₹11,500–12,000 per month, and her mother is a housewife who takes care of Lakshita and her two children. The family has no savings, no financial backup—only hope.
Lakshita is currently undergoing treatment in AIIMS hospital for a serious blood-related illness, which requires continuous medical supervision, regular medicines, and frequent platelet (SDP) support. This month alone, ₹8,000 was spent on an SDP kit, almost wiping out her father’s entire salary.
Doctors have strictly advised that Lakshita must be kept away from crowded places and infections due to her weak immunity. She has been advised to avoid public transport and travel by auto for safety—making daily travel costs very high for the family.
Along with this, Lakshita requires daily medicines, regular check-ups, and supportive care. Every day brings new expenses that her parents are no longer able to manage.
Lakshita’s condition has deeply affected her father. Watching his little daughter suffer is something he cannot bear anymore. Despite working full-time, he feels helpless—knowing that his income is not enough to save his child.
His workplace has shown compassion. His boss does not deduct salary for hospital-related leaves, and sometimes colleagues contribute ₹500–₹1,000 from their own limited salaries. But even this kindness is not enough.
This month, after medical expenses, the family does not even have sufficient ration at home. Every rupee is going into Lakshita’s treatment, leaving basic household needs unmet.
With immense hope and folded hands, Lakshita’s parents approached Jan Sanjeevni Trust, praying for support to continue their daughter’s treatment. They believe that with collective kindness, Lakshita can survive this phase and return to a normal childhood.
