A child born in silence is fighting for a chance to hear and speak.

Help Little Ibrahim Hear the World for the First Time

Ibrahim is a two-year-old child from Tamil Nadu who was born premature and has faced medical challenges since birth. While other children respond to sounds and voices around them, Ibrahim has lived in complete silence. After several medical tests, doctors confirmed that he suffers from profound hearing loss in both ears. He has never heard his mother’s voice or the sounds of the world around him.

The family’s situation became even more difficult when Ibrahim’s father passed away in a tragic road accident. Since then, his mother has been managing everything alone. There is no earning member, no financial savings, and no relatives who can support them. The only help she has is from Ibrahim’s elderly maternal grandmother, who is also financially dependent. The family has no support system to rely on in this difficult phase.

Doctors have advised that Ibrahim urgently requires cochlear implant treatment along with speech and auditory therapy. Early treatment is extremely important, as any delay can permanently affect his ability to hear and speak. Under a Tamil Nadu Government scheme for children below six years of age, a portion of the cochlear implant treatment cost is covered. This is why the required amount appears lower than the actual market cost.

However, the government scheme does not cover all medical expenses. Certain essential tests, including the TT-EABR (Tone Burst Auditory Brainstem Response) test, are not covered by the government and must be paid for by the family. In addition to this, therapy sessions, hospital-related charges, and follow-up care are also excluded from the scheme.

Even after partial government support, the remaining expenses are still unaffordable for the family. With no income and no external help, Ibrahim’s mother has no option but to seek support from kind-hearted people. Your contribution can help cover these critical uncovered costs and give Ibrahim a chance to hear, speak, and live a better life. Please come forward and help Ibrahim experience the world of sound for the first time.
