Abhay Prajapati, a bright and brave 14-year-old boy, should be spending his days studying, playing, and dreaming big. But instead, he’s fighting a life-threatening battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML – Blood Cancer) and Hepatitis C at AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi.
His journey has been heartbreaking. Endless hospital stays, painful chemotherapy sessions, costly antifungal and antiviral medicines, frequent blood and platelet transfusions — this has become Abhay’s new reality. Each day, his frail body fights the exhaustion and pain that no child should ever endure.
Doctors have recommended long-term therapy, but the cost of treatment and supportive care is estimated at ₹5 to ₹6 lakhs — an amount far beyond his father’s reach, who works as a daily wage labourer. The family is struggling even for food and shelter in Delhi, yet they refuse to give up hope.
