At just 12 years old, Shubhangi Sharma from Rohini, Delhi, should have been enjoying school, playing with her friends, and living a carefree childhood. But over the past two years, every step became more painful than the last.
Her parents noticed that the shape of her legs was gradually changing. Walking became difficult, standing for long periods caused pain, and even simple daily activities turned into a struggle. After several medical consultations, doctors diagnosed her with Bilateral Genu Varum (Bow Legs) and advised urgent corrective surgery to prevent permanent damage.
For Shubhangi’s family, the diagnosis was heartbreaking. Her mother is a homemaker, and her father, despite his continuous efforts, has been unable to find stable work. With no regular source of income, arranging over ₹3 lakh for her treatment seemed impossible. Yet through it all, Shubhangi never gave up hope. With the support of kind-hearted donors, the funds required for her treatment were arranged, allowing doctors to proceed with the much-needed surgery. Every donation, every prayer, and every act of kindness brought Shubhangi one step closer to the treatment she had been waiting for.
She was admitted to the hospital, and after completing all necessary medical preparations, underwent her scheduled orthopedic surgery.
