In a small village of Khakata Basty in Jalpaiguri, 25-year-old Juliyani Toppo lived a simple life with her family. Her father is a farmer, and her mother is a homemaker. Due to their weak financial condition, Juliyani worked in a small hotel to support her family and manage daily expenses.
But her life suddenly took a painful turn.
She began experiencing severe and recurring abdominal pain. What initially seemed like a minor issue soon became unbearable. After medical tests and diagnosis, doctors confirmed that Juliyani was suffering from appendicitis—a serious condition where the appendix becomes inflamed.
Doctors strictly warned:
⚠️ If not treated on time, the appendix could rupture, leading to severe infection and life-threatening complications.
She urgently needed surgery. However, the estimated cost of ₹37,270 was far beyond what her family could afford. Due to her illness, Juliyani had to stop working, making their situation even more difficult.
Each passing day brought more pain, fear, and uncertainty.
When the situation became critical, an unknown but kind-hearted individual, Sumit Tete, stepped forward and introduced Juliyani’s case to Jan Sanjeevni Trust.
After carefully reviewing and verifying her medical condition, we accepted her case and immediately began preparing support for her urgent surgery. A surgery date was scheduled, and arrangements were being made to ensure timely treatment.
However, before the planned date, Juliyani’s condition suddenly worsened. She started experiencing severe and unbearable abdominal pain. Due to the unavailability of the doctor at the initially planned hospital, her family had no choice but to rush her to another hospital for emergency care.
She was admitted immediately in a critical state.
Understanding the urgency, the doctors at the new hospital acted without delay. On the very same day of admission, Juliyani underwent emergency surgery.
Despite the sudden situation and intense pain, the operation was carried out successfully.
Following the emergency procedure, Juliyani’s condition began to stabilize.
Doctors confirmed that:
✅ The surgery was successful
✅ The appendix was safely removed in time
✅ No major complications occurred
After a period of medical observation and care, Juliyani responded well to treatment and continued to recover steadily.
Today, we are relieved to share that Juliyani has been successfully discharged from the hospital and is now back home, recovering and regaining her strength.
The same young woman who was once in unbearable pain and facing a life-threatening condition is now on her way to a healthier and pain-free life.
For Juliyani and her family, this journey has been filled with fear, uncertainty, and sudden challenges—but also with timely support, humanity, and hope.
