In a small home in Sitapur (Lucknow), a premature baby was born on 7th March — Baby of Usha, who came into this world at just 7 months.
From the very beginning, his condition was critical. His body was not fully developed, he had breathing difficulties, and he needed immediate NICU care. Every hour mattered.
For Usha, this was not just a medical emergency… it was her biggest fear coming true.
She had already lost two babies before — one miscarriage and another child who survived only five days.
This time, she had only one prayer:
“Please let my baby live…”
The family first tried a government hospital, but no bed was available. With no other option, they had to admit the baby to a private hospital.
The estimated cost of treatment was around ₹1,20,000 — something completely out of reach.
Ravi, the father, who works as a daily wage labourer, stood helpless… watching his newborn struggle, knowing he could not afford the treatment.
When all options seemed to be closing, the family reached out to Jan Sanjeevni Trust.
As soon as we received the case, we acted quickly. We verified the medical details with the hospital, spoke to the doctors, and immediately started arranging support.
Appeals were raised, and slowly, people started coming forward to help. Some donated ₹500, some ₹1000 — but together, every contribution became a lifeline for this tiny baby.
Because of this support:
Most importantly, the parents no longer felt alone.
Ravi once said, I thought my child would die because I didn’t have money… but you all didn’t leave us alone.
That was the moment when hope slowly started coming back into their lives.
Today, Baby of Usha is recovering and responding positively to treatment.
The same child who once struggled to survive is now gaining strength with each passing day. His condition has stabilized, and he is finally moving towards a healthier future.
For Usha and Ravi, this is nothing less than a miracle.
Their eyes, once filled with fear and helplessness, are now filled with relief and gratitude. Holding their baby in their arms, they express heartfelt thanks to everyone who stood by them in their darkest time.
They say with folded hands, “We don’t know how to thank you… you saved our child.”
Their home, once filled with silence and sorrow, now echoes with hope and happiness.
Because of your support, a life was saved, a family was healed, and a mother’s prayer was answered.
